Minnesota Family Law Mediator
Divorce, custody, support issues and other legal matters can be painful both emotionally and financially for all persons involved.  Attorney Kathy K. Hart is a trained mediator and strongly believes that individuals, not courts and judges, are in the best position to decide what is in their family’s best interests.

To schedule an appointment with Attorney Hart to discuss mediation, contact us by email or call 651-379-3024.
Mediation offers an opportunity for individuals to move forward positively and constructively, while minimizing the financial and emotional toll associated with their personal circumstances and legal needs. Ms. Hart believes in mediation as an effective tool to promote “win-win” outcomes, as opposed to “winners and losers” which are often the result of going to court.

Working Together to Find Positive Solutions
Mediation is a cost-effective alternative to litigation that enables individuals and families retain control over decisions affecting their family’s future. Mediation promotes cooperation through communication and negotiation.  A mediator does not make decisions and does not represent either party. Either or both parties may still have their own attorneys from whom they can seek legal advice.  A mediator helps individuals resolve disputed issues by providing a non-judgmental, neutral perspective and by suggesting alternatives and creative options for resolution of conflicts.
Ms. Hart believes it is never too early or too late for people to work together to come to fair, mutually satisfactory agreements. She can assist parties before the legal proceeding even starts (prior to service and filing of legal documents), or facilitate a final attempt to resolve issues on the eve of trial. Ms. Hart offers mediation services in all areas of family law and at all stages of a legal matter, including divorce, establishment or modification of custody and parenting time, creating or modifying a co-parenting plan, fair allocation of finances and determination of how best to meet a child’s financial needs (support).

Ms. Hart offers a free initial consultation to help decide if mediation is right for your legal needs.  To schedule a free consultation, call 651-379-3024 or contact us by email.
