A Parenting Consultant’s role includes educating parents regarding child development issues, facilitating communication between parties, and making recommendations and decisions when necessary, regarding all parenting-related issues, when the parents are unable or unwilling to effectively co-parent and make joint decisions.
First and foremost, Ms. Hart strives to assist parents come to their own agreements. She assists parents individually and jointly and works to resolve specific parenting issues, as well as communication styles and stumbling blocks.
In some circumstances, parents are simply unable or unwilling to make joint decisions and have instead jointly elected to have decisions made by a Parenting Consultant. A Parenting Consultant can assist parents resolve issues including parenting time schedules, transportation pick-up and drop-off (transitions), communication between parents and parent-child, participation in and payment for extra-curricular activities and education issues.
